Many Facets to Work Shoes
Tuesday, 07 March 2023 00:00Many people have foot pain when their work day is over, and it is important to wear shoes that fit correctly that can help to reduce the aches and pains of standing all day. In addition to this, it is urged to practice foot safety, and this begins with purchasing protective shoes. Accidents may be reduced when shoes have a slip-resistant outer sole that offers adequate grip if the shoes get wet with water, oil, or grease. It is beneficial the shoes have a multilayer insole that can help to reduce strain in different areas of the foot. Swollen feet may be kept at a minimum when the shoes that are worn have a large toe area, in addition to having a deep heel cup that can help the feet to align with the ankles. It is best that the shoes are made from durable materials, and this may help ensure minimum wear and tear. The end of the work day when the feet are at their largest is the best time to buy work shoes, and it is helpful to try the intended shoes on with the socks that will be worn. If you have questions about what type of shoes to buy for your work day, it is suggested that you consult with a podiatrist who can answer any questions you may have.

Working on Your Feet
Standing on your feet for long periods of time can cause stress and pain in your feet. Your whole body may experience change in terms of posture, back pain, bunions, callouses and or plantar warts. There are ways to avoid these conditions with proper foot care, smart choices and correct posture.
Positive Changes
Negative heeled shoe – Choosing this shoe type places the heel slightly lower than the ball of the foot. These are great for overall foot health. Find shoes that fit you correctly.
Go barefoot – Our feet were not designed to be enclosed for all hours of the day. Try to periodically expose your feet to air.
Eliminate Pain
Foot Exercises – Performing simple exercises, incorporating yoga and doing stretches are beneficial. This will allow increased blood flow to the area and muscles of the foot.
Achilles tendon – Stretching the foot out flat on the floor will relax the calf muscles and tendon. These exercises can be performed almost anywhere. Make sure you add these exercises to your daily regimen.
With a little bit of this information and knowing more about foot health, you will notice changes. Foot stretches and proper footwear will help with pain and prevent further issues.
